Peter Dickinson

Technology Associate

After graduating from Leeds University with a computational science degree, Peter spent five years working at EMI central research laboratories initially as a mathematician working on MRI scanner design and later, in Newcastle, studying for a PhD relating to the detailed internal working of Solar Cells.

After a three year period working for the NHS Medical Physics department as the regional computing co-ordinator he joined Integrated Micro Products (latterly acquired by Sun Microsystems).

Peter held a number of positions over an 18 year period with IMP/Sun spanning many disciplines including service, technical sales, product marketing, product development, product strategy, line and site management, quality and general trouble shooting.

He holds two worldwide patents in the areas of MRI scanning and High Availability computer design.

Peter now has a consultancy business (P4pi Ltd) which utilises his unique experience and analytical abilities to help product companies solve problems in a holistic yet methodical manner.
